Retailers should not be manually adding products to their websites—since Bridge can do this much more efficiently via its Smart Products service. Adding products to a website is simply a waste. Time is better spent telling brands about the Smart Brand program and getting them to join it. Otherwise, one is stuck shaving away at updating prices. If the brand doesn’t join, concentrate on those that do.

Stores that offer convenience and deals are winning, shares today’s WSJ. Sales at Walmart, Target, and T.J. Maxx are up while they’re murky at Macy’s, J.C. Penny, and Nordstrom.
